Hi capacity sand blasting room, with over 320 sq/ft capacity to handle most jobs. We can do wheels or an entire car. Metal or aluminum parts with old multi layers of paint, are stripped clean in this process, prior to powder coating.

Sandblasting, sometimes referred to as media blasting, is the process by which an abrasive media is directed at a surface to clean or improve the surface.

The result of blasting is to modify the surface texture, or profile, of the metal being blasted. The roughness of the surface is dependent on these factors:

  • Speed of the blasting media as it strikes the surface. This is usually controlled by the pressure of the delivering system, such as compressed air.
  • Size of the media (grit or sieve size).
  • Density of the grit.
  • Angle of impingement on the surface.
  • Hardness of the media.
  • Structure or shape of the media. For example, glass beads which are round have a less damaging effect on the surface than angular glass media.
  • once parts are clean, they may be painted, powder coated  or further polished for plating .
